The quasi-elastic electron and neutrino scattering off calcium and argon is calculated using the relativistic distorted-wave impulse approximation. The effect of nuclear structure and final state interaction on the (anti)neutrino total cross section are studied. The comparison of the total cross sections per (proton)neutron, calculated for carbon and calcium (argon) targets shows the cross section for medium-heavy nuclei to be lower than those for carbon.
